Default Teaching Job - Wichita Area

Hello,

I am moving to the Wichita area and wanted to know what school district is the best to teach for.

I am interested in Maize, Valley Center, Benton, Andover, and the Wichita school district.

Is there a difference in pay or benefits between these school districts. Is there one that is better to teach for overall.

Any info is greatly appreciated.

Since noone has responded as of yet, I'll get you a little info to get started. I do not work in the area but am familiar with it. I think any of these is going to be a good situation. Maize and Andover affluent suburban. Valley Center - Middle Class Suburban, Benton - Rural and Wichita - Urban/Suburban Large City. I think it really depends on your personality towards education. I know that doesn't help much but as a fellow teacher I think your own personality makes the biggest difference on where you like. Of course even within each district each school can be vastly different.

I work at Andover Central high school, but I'm not a teacher. I'm a sign language interpreter. I can give you a little insight on that particular school district. However I'm not sure how that school compares to the others you listed. If there is anything in particular you'd like to know, let me know.
