KS is a low wage and low cost of living state. Property taxes are fairly high in Wichita, but will probably seem like a bargain compared to CT. COL is much lower compared to CT. I would recommend looking in the College Hill neighborhood if you desire a more urban flavor.

That's very possible at KU Med, in Kansas City. Not sure what nurses make in Wichita, though. Sorry.

Default RN Jobs in Wichita

If you have the choice, I would move elsewhere. Jobs here for nurses are scarce as they have been for some time. The pay here sucks the big one!!! California, NYC, Texas, PA, Oregon, Arizona, and Nevada are among some of the best places for nurses to work and live because the pay in these places is very accomodating !!!! Kansas sucks...I am an RN, been here most of my life and cannot wait to leave this place !!!!!!!!!!
