How are homes sellling in the Wichita area?
I have been told that homes are still selling very well in Wichita, admitidly by real estate agents. I have been told by others that homes are moving if they are priced right. I have seen homes on the MLS sit on the market for months and then after a $5,000 reduction sell that week. I also am seeing many people I know head there because there is still work in the construction trades there. Are things moving that well compared to the rest of the country?

They have a lot of foreclosures there so I suppose as they get reduced that they get grabbed up mostly by investors since the buys can be really, really good. I would not go there and buy a house in hopes of easily selling it if a job doesn't work out.

Home values are dropping everywhere. Very very few places are going up. Wichita has held on and dropped only about 3% in the last year, where I am now has dropped about 6%, florida and MI and Vegas has dropped in the 50 to 70% range and dropping. So I think we are all in a tub of crapage if jobs do not come back soon. And the problem I see is that they are not going to come back anytime soon.
