I have heard that overnight parking at Walmart in Williston is no longer and option. Can someone confirm this?

[Mod Cut]
Anythoughts?

The second question is does anyone have a parking space for rent for a Ford Econoline e350?

I have converted my van to a mini camper of sorts. I do not need hookups, do not need water or shower. Just a place to park while searching for a job.

I am willing to pay cash weekly.

Anythoughts?
There are 50 campers in Walmart parking lot TODAY. Many of them had for sale signs on them and no signs of an owner living in them. The city police are so busy right now that I think this concern gets put off. A few months ago the entire parking lot was cleared out of campers as it is in violation of Walmart's policies. I highly doubt anyone is paying attention right now with the missing teacher crime that recently happened.

You might find a place to park it on Craigslist. Buyer beware!

Walmart has a national policy of welcoming campers for overnight stays. However this can and is often superseded by local ordinance.

Default Parking

Spoke with an employee there last week who said the fine imposed is $500. And as soon as the lot is cleared out there are a dozen more the next day.

How difficult is it to find a legitimate place to park an RV within a reasonable driving distance?

My van is what is known as a Stealth Camper.

Looks like a work truck but, there's pretty much a full apartment in the back.

So I don't really look like a RV. That might buy me a day or two.

Is the city actually enforcing the $500 fine?

The city is "randomly" enforcing the fine on any place that is not licensed or permitted to house people.

My neighbor has a camper on his pickup truck and had permission to park his truck right next to the shop where he works out of. He, of course was living in it. He was the only person there. However, last month, the City come down on his employer and although they didn't fine him or the company, he was told to move it within 48 hours.

I know some church's are letting people stay in their parking lot for a bit to help them until they can find another place. Might be worth checking out for some of you church going peeps.

The Williston Walmart has the policy to not allow any RV's, campers, or semi's overnight.
