I think 1-2 weeks is the best case scenario.....That video is great, but old.
Times are not the same, many more folks have arrived, many more stories of taking a long time to get a job, especially w/ no oil field experience. There are folks that have taken mths. Be aware of the risks in that.
Be aware, read the various threads discussing ALL the issues that plaque the area of the oil field towns in N.D. Know what you are getting into. Apply online, read all the related threads on this forum, do your homework prior to coming. Be safe.

Could be more like 2-4 weeks if out of state im waiting on a bg check myself would be very happy if It clears in 2 weeks. I'd advise oil patch job seekers to go apply in person until you get the offer you want then return home if possible because it could be a sec until that oil patch job is ready for you. Hardcore living in your car 15+ days imo.

What about this job fair happening on the 4th & 5th of June at the Williston College?
Only CDL hiring on the 4th, anything on the 5th.
[Mod cut]
I'm planning my trip to be there on the Sunday before. Resumes/cover letters, Tech certificate, and full endorsements in hand.
Would it really be that difficult with such a concentration of employers looking at everyone?

You can still expect a week or two, if for not other reason than it takes a while to get driving records, background checks, employment history, etc. to come through.
