Update...Hubz flew out over Memorial day weekend...he met so many nice ppl. Unmfortunately none of the ppl. with any hiring power (big wigs) were in town over the holiday. But it was not a wasted trip, he got the lay of the land and all that... He went to Williston,Minot and back. Spoke to some locals and got the 'scoop" seems they are hiring in the next couple of weeks..so we are excited...my ?'s are should he go back out without a job? Anyone know if the pipelines are hiring sooner? Any other advice is VERY welcome..this is a big descision for us as a family. THANKS

There are a lot of jobs, has he looked at Job Service ND? There's also a new truck washing company opening up that starts at $22/hr for full time positions.

Most people come without jobs, but I think if you did some work online and over the phone it would be possible to have at least some interviews lined up before coming back out.

This is great news. I'm considering coming there within a month. But I'm unsure about being able to find a place or roommates.

Its a pretty big gamble to show up in Williston without something lined up.
People show up with their bags, a few dollars in hand, and high hopes of
finding something that pays. Only to wind up working at the dollar store
until something pans out. Pretty gutsie IMO.
