I heard that business may be slowing down due to the drop in oil.

New normal will likely be oil around $60. It's not going to be how it was when oil was $90+, but it is largely a victim of its own success. Overall, it is still better than it was before the boom started, but it's not going to be how it was in the boom, and this is the new normal.

The way Tex is pumping and trying to put in pipelines to Houston, I doubt Bakken will be back for several more years. Biggest holdup is the pipelines.

Still here, still busy.

Not sure what others are seeing, but there's a lot of open jobs and people are still funneling in.

I have heard from a friend that works for an Oil Company that they are looking for more workers again. This was back in May.

Does anyone know which staffing agencies are the best ones to use and which companies are hiring in particular?

ALso how is the housing situation? Are people still camping out in Walmart parking lots or are those days long gone lol. I recently checked online and hotel prices seem to be normalized in that region which would lead me to believe the housing prices are back in check

Dakota Access is almost doubling its pumping capacity by adding more pumps along the route. Another pipeline is going into Cushing, Oklahoma.

I haven't been there lately....but last year there were lots of really nice newly built apartments offering move in specials and reasonable rents....I say reasonable because it was no where near the prices during the biggest part of the boom.

I'd suggest checking rentals for Williston online.

https://www.apartmentguide.com/apart...rtments..maybe even their yellow pages.

As far as jobs...start with JobsND Job Service North Dakota and check on Williams County N.D. (Williston N.D.) or Stark Co. (Dickinson N.D.), or Watford City N.D., which I think is McKensi (sp) Co. or any number of the small towns in Western N.D.

and perhaps Indeed.com for jobs in those areas
