Red face Moving from Texas to Wausau, Wisconsin Area - Help

My husband recently took a job in Wausau. I am still in Texas with the kids, selling our home. We had been looking for a home in a good school district. We have kept our search around the East side and the DC Everest districts. My husband was interested in a home in Mosinee. Does anyone know anything about the Mosinee schools...specifically the middle school and high school? I currently have one child in AP program where we live. I would appreciate any help!

I live in Kronenwetter and my kids attended Mosinee schools. We have no complaints about the schools. They are smaller then the Wausau/Everest school district. They recently passed a referendum but that is only for the elementary school. They do offer AP classes. I think you would be happy with the Mosinee schools. Good luck.

Thank you for your response. We are coming from a large school district, and welcome the change to a smaller one. I just didn't want to compromise education. I appreciate your help.

We have owned a huge home in the Mosinee area for the past 3 years ... how funny that we will be selling our home and moving to Texas by the end of the year! Have you sold your home yet?

My grandson was with us the first year and attanded the DC Everest school district. I have yet to understand why people say this school is better than the others. The second year he attended John Marshall in Wausau and in my opinion it is a much better school that was far more attentive to a child's individual needs.

The newly buildt homes in Mosinee are way over priced and built very cheaply ... these have been difficult to resell ... I would recommend buying in an established older neighborhood.

What new homes in Mosinee are over priced and cheaply built? Mosinee School district doesn't have any huge subdivisions. The only one they have is the Foresight ones off of Maple Ridge.
