These next few look like there of a real lake, It's all farm fields flooded by the Baraboo River. I'd kill to have this view.

Just got back from Door County yesterday. I forgot how truly wonderful it is up there, its been about 8-10 years since my last trip. Anyways, here are some pics! I took TONS of photos, and dont have time to post them all, sorry! All I can say is that Door County is truly one of the greatest spots on earth. So peaceful and tranquil, so lush and green, so comfortable and intruiging, so warm and inviting. If I had the chance, Id love to buy a summer home up there, its just gorgeous. It rained every night and a few mornings, but the place we rented had a screened-in porch so we got to listen to the thunderstorms and the rain falling in the woods, it was very enjoyable. Daytime temps were in the perfect 70 degree range, which felt like a major relief compared to the upper 80 degree temps we left behind.

Some quick snapshots I took...

Woo hoo!!!

Pine scents, gentle breeze, 74 degrees and the bluest skies youll ever see... is this Heaven?

Wilson's in Ephraim. Ordered a Chicago-dog while there (hey, I was jonesin lol), was pretty decent, actually!

New homes in Fish Creek:

Our bedroom in the house we rented:

Swedish replica homes at Al Johnson's Swedish restaurant:

The ride in:

Paradise found:

Santa Fe shop in Fish Creek. It was a pleasant surprise as that was the LAST place we expected to find southwestern decor. lol We decorate our place Santa Fe style, so we picked up a few things.

New townhomes in Door County (Sister Bay?) right on the lake:

The Highway 12 split, its huge!

New resort outside Fish Creek:

Inside Al Johnson's. LOVE the Swedish rosemaling and ethnic clothing.

An Irish stronghold in a heavily Scandinavian area. lol:

Small island viewed from Eagle Bluff tower in Peninsula State Park:

Miller Park:

WOW! I LOVE what Milwaukee has done with their highways! Kinda reminded me of Albuquerque, NM with the tans and blues used in the design. Very nice, guys!!!

New home right on the lake in Door County (I believe it was in Ephraim). Someone bought it. Sadly, it wasnt me.

Mmmmm, Not Licked Yet in Fish Creek. Home of the incredibly delicious Concrete Malts.

Gotta soak up those blue skies, which might have taken the title for the bluest skies Ive ever seen. Just gorgeous!

More shots of the house we rented:

Quaint shops:

Gorgeous sunset. Wish I couldve been down by the lake for that one.

Ok, since I shared all my crappy snapshots, I figured Id share some of my nicer shots. You know, the ones where I actually took the camera off Auto and set up the shot. hahaha
