Wow, great shots, keep them coming! Being on the east side, I can see great sun rises over the lake but don't check out the sunsets!

Of course, the "skeeters" lately have kept me indoors at dusk!

Thanks Susan! The skeeters have been really bad down here because of all the flooding we had.

Josh -- how is Portage recovering? I heard the other day that they finally opened 33, is that true? I know many from our area have been using country roads to get around due to 33 being closed for so long.

I rarely get out in that direction... but it is very pretty there.

33 is now open. It was such a bottle neck having that 2 mile strip closed for the last 3 weeks. Things are running smoother. We still have roads around here that are flooded over. The rain fell 20 days ago and there is still a list of roads in Columbia county alone that are washed out/flooded.

I have three pictures to share. Two are of the sunrise on the 4th of July. The picture was taken from the living room of my apartment. What a view!

These were kind of dark. I didn't go to bed till 5 a.m.
They were taken around 4:47 A.M
This is facing towards North-Northeast

Country shot

Well I finally went out and took some more.

I took these outside of Portage in Caledonia township.

The water you see in the pictures is the Wisconsin River

I took some pictures of a road that washed out the side. It was a drop of nearly 40'-50'. It was crazy!

Here's some pics of Perrot state park & Trempealeau, which is north of Lacrosse. I went on a camping trip & sort of made a loop around the state. Started in Milwaukee & headed to Perrot, then NW corner to Pattison, then north central to Copper Falls, then outside of Oshkosh area. Perrot was a nice park, it had good shaded campsites, & a nice variety of trails.

I'll put up pics of Pattison, & Copper Falls later.

Pattison State Park. The bigger waterfall is Big Manitou Falls, the largest waterfall in the state at 165 feet.
