Sunday July 20th Pictures
I went for a ride on some back roads today in Portage.
We've had a little publicity around home lately. There is 3 male elk running around here and some black bears. It's weird for Elk to be in this part of the state, black bears you see around here sometimes. Just makes things interesting. Waters are going back up. There are still roads closed from June 11 with water still covering them. I can't believe how much water we have.
Now to the pictures.
This first picture is from the bluffs outside of Portage, that water you see is flood waters.
A nice country road

Some of my favorites
Ok, I dug these up from my trip to the Chippewa Moraine Rec area. Nature unspoiled.

Sue, That large house is a few miles north of where I live. I don't know who lives there I just love the architecture used in the design. The house is perched on top of a hill overlooking a vast area. The other pictures are from rural Portage.

Ozaukee County
I'm not the world's best photographer, but here are a couple of pics I had in my files.
Overlooking the Port Washington harbor/marina. The smoke stacks in the background are from the WE Energies plant. On a good, clear day you can actually see the Milwaukee skyline.
The last covered bridge in Wisconsin, located in the Town of Cedarburg in Ozaukee County.
Little known fact to some, but Ozaukee County actually provides a 42-foot rescue boat which is docked in Port Washington. It operates during the boating season. Nice view of the harbor area here.
