The photos are just beautiful. I can still remember how the air felt when you would take a deep breath!

There is a railroad museum and other museums in Carson Park in Eau Claire, WI. That is also close to Bloomer. Here is a link to Chippewa Valley Railroading Information. Click on the link for Carson Park.

Alot of cameras on the market that are digital having different settings.. Mine has a landscape setting and I do some minor editing when I upload them.... They usually come out pretty good.... Another thing that helps is we live in a beautiful state.
I would look at kodaks they're usually pretty nice.... Most people get the small point and shoot cameras they're ok and around $100. The cameras that are a bit bigger tend to take better landscape shots etc.... I use a Kodak DX6490.... I think Kodak offers a Z712 which is pretty cool and only around 200-275? I think....

I only took three pictures today worth posting....I went for a ride in Lowville township today in rural Columbia county... About 25 minutes from home. I must say this area was undiscovered before today. I never once thought about driving there and when I did I was surpised.
What a view! This area affords many rolling hills and fun roads to drive down!
Some beautiful farms dot the landscape... Most of these are equine farms.
You have to love that view! Maybe build a nice house right here and have that view from your bedroom window!

I just love these pics all of you are posting! Wisconsin is sure a beautiful place, it's too bad I was so young that I really couldn't appreciate it all the well...
Keep em coming!

BF, could it have been the Laona & Northern RY? They give live steam rides. Their claim to fame is an extremely rare steamer made by Vulcan. Most american locomotives were made by Baldwin, American Locomotive, or Lima. So a Vulcan in great condition like this is very rare.

Pictures taken in Wisc.
All the pictures I have seen here are lovely.
I have a one of my own that I think is worth sharing. This one is entitled "The Best Dog in the World." She came from Alaska, and protected us from the brown bears, and then she protected us from the black bears in Wisc. I don't think I can bring myself to own another dog after this one... click on the pic for a blow up; the only way to truly appreciate the beauty of this picture...
