Default Further North

If anyone wants to go further North than Rhinelander.....keep traveling... Eagle River, Conover, Phelps, Land 'O Lakes area... Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful! There are many resorts to stay at. One that comes to mind is AfterGlow. www.afterglowresort.com Wonderful family owns this resort. Always friendly and helpful. Take pics of the area Seriously tho', if you do travel up that way, there are plenty of things to do and see. Nature at its finest.

Great pictures, Josh! My favorites are the hilly, country road, the tree in the field and the old barn. I see that the leaves are slowly changing colors, too.

I can't wait to see some pictures of Wisconsin's fall colors.

Ive seen some of those places in/near Madison. Beautiful pics. And how anyone could prefer living in a city with cookie-cutter homes, no land and nothing pretty to appreciate is beyond me.

Alright, back to some more pictures.

Somewhat a picture of what our cabin that we stay in looks like. Some nice color in the background.

Lake Katherine, Hazelhurst. We were about 1/2 off the north shore of the lake.

Trout Lake, Vilas county. About 5-10 minutes south of Boulder Junction. Or 15 minutes north of Minocqua. The lake is almost 4,000 acres big!

Sparkling Lake, Right off U.S. Highway 51 about 10 minutes from Woodruf/Arbor Vitae

Part of beautiful Lake Minocqua on the southern side of the island.

An MGB club from Illinois. Very cool, friendly guys driving these. I think they were MGB's. ??

I was able to make it to Michigan and do some hiking at the Porcupine Mountains State Park. I honestly really never knew such a jewel was located so close to home until this past winter when I seen a video on the "Porkies." I have to say, they are under-rated! If you haven't been there, do it! From beautiful Lake of The Clouds to Summit Peak. Every view is amazing. I was just in the starting of the fall colors. The water you see in the first few is Lake Superior.

Enjoy!

Lake of The Clouds,

Beautiful Lake Superior at Silver City, MI

Thanks everyone for looking, I really did enjoy the trip. Like I said before if you haven't been to the U.P. Go! It's so untouched.

Wonderful photos, Josh! Sounds like you had a great trip! I've been to Porcupine but it has been a very long time, something I need to do again.
