Sue, I will be sure to post pictures on my album. I'm so excited after a year of planning I will have something to show for all the hard work.

Yesterday was beautiful so I decided to go to a local wetlands area open to the public. I didn't come across another soul. It was nice. I was telling my father that the local residents don't utilize the recreational opportunities that abound in the area. Most people don't even know these areas exist. The area I went to is a little over 2600 acres, it contains mostly wetlands with the Fox River winding throughout and a few decidous forests. It was perfect, the smell of the native plants sounds of birds. I felt like I was in heaven. Only 10 minutes from home.

Now to the pictures,

Now for some cool looking native plants.

More pictures from yesterday. It was beautiful outside, mid 70's,sunny.

This view proves that Wisconsin has many different landscapes. Right before me is some gentle rolling hills used for farming and if you look in the background you can see the beautiful Baraboo Hills.

Hntr - those photos are amazing! I was trying to explain what autumn in Wisconsin is like and it is so hard to put it into words. Autumn is Wisconsin is so much better than every place else I have ever lived. I can't wait to eventually get back there! Thanks for sharing the photos!!!

Thank you very much Snowflake!!!!! I'm glad you liked them! Autumn is beautiful here, it presents such a wonderful variety of colors, the reds, yellows, golds, maroons and every shade in between. I love going out early in the morning to see what the new day has changed. And it does change on a daily basis.
I 'm happy my photos brought back some little memories of Fall in Wisconsin and I hope you get back to enjoy it in person soon.

Great Pictures everyone. Last night I was trying to get out to capture the moon since it was awesome looking the night before. Unfortunately, it was cloudy out. So I decided to take a night picture of the Dudley tower in downtown Wausau:

This is a picture the the rapids in downtown Wausau. The4y hold the junior national kayak chamionships here I believe. My white balance was a little off, so it's a little blue.

Great pictures everyone! My sister and brother-in-law were here and we kept waiting for the moon to come out from behind the clouds.

We were having dinner at the inn by the lake when we got back to my house, the moon was out.

Thanks tet tea.

Hankejp and tet tea, both of you have crystal clear pictures. What's your secret? Mine seem fuzzy. Idk why?
