Twin Lakes is a small town- one grocery store. two hardware stores, three gas stations, ten bars and a gazillion cops. (Yeah, it's very safe) Unless you want to work for one of the above, there is no work. You would have to go 30 minutes south to Lake Zurich or Mchenry Il, which is very built up ,to find a job with decent pay. Not a bad commute, but not in town, either. I've lived here for 25 years and I've watched Chicago creep farther north. That has also driven the price of housing up.Do your homework on this. Lot? Older home?
