That's the problem. The midwest has awful, humid summers, and frigid winter weather with grey skies. Little Rock only has the one extreme.

It really is the worst weather in the country.

That is simply your opinion and nothing more.

Right now here in the southern part of the state, we are having a very comfortable summer.

Summer this year is actually a little cool for me. I miss last summer with lots of sunshine and temps in the 80's and 90's. Hoping we'll get more of that in the next couple of months!

Can't wait to hit the swimming pool in between the thunderstorms! If I'm not swimming, I'll be packing up our house. The moving truck is scheduled for July 5.

The heat and drought last year were very extreme, one of the hottest Summer seasons on record in southern Wisconsin. Many crops did poorly and young pine and fir trees actually completely browned up and died. Very bad. The drought was much worse further west on the Great Plains. I would be pleased if we did not see many high temperatures above 90F this Summer.

That really isn't a common ocurrence. People remember the few anomalous sumners where it happened, but definantly not the norm. Expect about 10, which is much better than other neighboring states!

I'll take a Wisconsin Summer any day of the week over a Summer further south like the Lower Midwest. In addition to the heat/humidity combo that lasts a very long period of time you will get poor air quality and a very intense sun angle that is more direct, overhead, and intense due to the lower latitude.
