Default Which NHL team has the most support in Wisconsin?

I understand that it varies from area to area, but which hockey team have you noticed has the most support throughout the state?

I vote for the Blackhawks because of my experience, but maybe some Wisconsinites feel differently, and you guys obviously know best.

Please vote in the poll!

Blackhawks fan since 2005 here. Never liked the Wings since they are the Yankees of hockey, and the wild well not a chance. Chicago is just down the street and since the Milwaukee Admirals and hawks have a connection it made sense to pull for a team I could actually drive down and see. Surprisingly there is a lot of Nashville fans since the Admirals are now the feeder program for Nashville. Plus McDonough made the hawks popular again.

I voted for the Wild since FS Wisconsin carries many Wild games. Like Milwaukee City said, the Predators are really getting popular.

FsWisconsin is broadcast from Minneapolis. They just have the rights to carry Wisconsin teams, a deal negotiated long ago. This deal ends soon, I just don't know when. You should be a blackhawks fan since the two cities are only 65 miles apart(city limits-city limits) and Lloyd Pettit would want you to be a Hawks fan. Beside the Ad's used to be a farm team for the Hawks.

Can't stand the Blackhawks. I'm a Predators fan. Watch the Wild when they're on FS Wisconsin. Towards Kenosha and Racine and stuff it's the Blackhawks obviously. When you get towards Eau Claire and the Minnesota border it's the Wild. I don't really know about the Green Bay and Fox Cities area. Milwaukee area is a melting pot. I've seen Blackhawks, Wild, Predators, Red Wings, Maple Leafs, Blues and Ducks fans. Probably even missing a couple teams in there.

Just curious, if Nashville drops the ad's as their AHL team would you still be a Pred's fan or would you assume whoever teams up with the Admirals?

I'd still be a Preds fan. I like their players, I like the way they run their organization. Just a solid franchise. And I hate that goal song. Worst goal song in the NHL by far.

In Milwaukee, I think it's the Nashville Predators. They have been the Admirals affiliate since the late 90's, and the Admirals have won a Calder Cup and have been fairly successful in that time. The Minnesota Wild would be the "local" NHL team, particularly because they are televised in Milwaukee.

As for the Chicago Blackhawks, no passionate Milwaukee sports fan would be a fan of any Chicago team, even if they are only 90 miles to the south. As for the Admirals tie to them, they haven't been affiliated in about 30 years. So, there really isn't one.

In Northwestern Wisconsin, it's definitely the Minnesota Wild. After all, their arena is only about 15 miles from the Wisconsin state line.

As for me, although I support the Predators, my favorite team has always been the Winnipeg Jets.

I live in WI and am a fan of the Montreal Canadiens. I only knew their symbol when I was little and thought they were from WI, so I just stuck with them.
