I'm sorry. I do not speak French, but I did understand your post enough to comment. These are my comments:
First, I've never heard of tourists from Europe vacationing in Door County before. It is beautiful. You will have a great time! Welcome to Wisconsin!
Second, I notice you are attempting a pretty comprehensive sweep of Wisconsin. I think you'll be missing out if you do not spend a day in Milwaukee. My suggestion is that even though Chicago is great, spend 3 days in Chicago and your "Jour 5" in Milwaukee
VISIT Milwaukee - Info - Vacation - Hotels - Meetings - Events - Tours . Go on a brewery tour at Lake Front Brewery
Lakefront Brewery - Lakefront Brewery Home Page , Miller
MillerCoors: Age Verification , or Sprecher
Sprecher Brewing Company . Visit the Third Ward neighborhood
Shopping - Dining - Arts & Culture | Welcome to Milwaukee's Historic Third Ward . Visit the East Side neighborhood
Brady Street Business Improvement District #11 and
The East Side . Visit Milwaukee’ Lakefront, which is distinctly different from Chicago’s, Green Bay’s, Sheboygan’s, and Door County’s; while you’re there stop at Alterra Coffee on the lakefront
ALTERRA Alterra at the Lake - Milwaukee, WI . Milwaukee is full of amazing restaurants. I have too many favorites to make suggestions and too many that I want to try for the first time myself!
Milwaukee Restaurants . For the best ice cream, you would have to go to
Kopp's Frozen Custard .
Third: Why Two Rivers? If you do not know someone who lives there, I would suggest going to Kohler Andre State Park
Kohler-Andrae State Park - WDNR (http://dnr.wi.gov/org/land/parks/specific/ka/ - broken link) and Sheboygan instead
Sheboygan Tourism | Sheboygan Wisconsin – So Much, So Close . That park has beautiful sand dunes along Lake Michigan and Sheboygan will have far more to see. I suggest eating at the following restaurants in Sheboygan: Trattoria Stefano
Trattoria Stefano Trattoria Stefano - Sheboygan, WI , Field to Fork
Field to Fork Cafe Field to Fork - Sheboygan, WI , Il Ritrovo
Il Ritrovo Pizza. A restaurant in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. Il Ritrovo - Sheboygan, WI , Duke of Devon
The Duke of Devon Pub - Sheboygan Wisconsin The Duke of Devon English Pub & Eatery - Sheboygan, WI , the Mucky Duck Shanty
Mucky Duck Shanty - Home The Mucky Duck Shanty - Sheboygan, WI , the Weather Center Café
Weather Center Cafe the - Sheboygan, WI , Legend Larry’s Wings
Legend Larry's National Award Winning Wings Legend Larry's Wings & Things - Sheboygan, WI , Margaux
Margaux - The Good Life (http://www.sheboygan.com/margaux/ - broken link)
Margaux - Sheboygan, WI , or El Camino
El Camino Mexican Restaurant - Sheboygan, WI El Camino - Sheboygan, WI . Finding an affordable hotel in Sheboygan will not be hard either.
Fourth: I would spend more time in Milwaukee, Sheboygan, Door County, Madison, or Wisconsin Dells than Green Bay. The only cool thing I can think of to see in Green Bay is Lambeau Field
Lambeau Field - Home of the Green Bay Packers , and then only if you're a football fan.
I’m sorry that I’m not as familiar with Door County as the rest of these areas. Peninsula State Park (and Devils Lake State Park near Wisconsin Dells) is one of the most popular State Parks in Wisconsin. Newport State Park is beautiful. I’ve never been to Washington Island, but I really want to go!
On your drive from Green Bay to Wisconsin Dells, if you take State Highway 23 (which I definitely recommend – it is very pleasant with cute small towns that you literally cross through) – stop in Ripon at the Rippin’ Good Cookie Factory Outlet Store
Ripon Area Chamber of Commerce - Wisconsin - Cookie Outlet Store Rippin Good Cookies - Ripon, WI . It’s fun, you get free samples, and the cookies are great!
If you are not alone, go to a waterpark in Wisconsin Dells! Noah’s Ark
Noah's Ark Water Park | Wisconsin Dells and Mt. Olympus
Mt. Olympus Resorts | Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin | Toll Free 800.800.4997 | are great fun! (Or visit Six Flags Great America while near Chicago
Six Flags Great America ).
Madison is fun, you could easily spend the whole day walking along State Street
State Street Madison WI - Restaurants & Businesses Wisconsin Madison Central BID : Home Page , the University of Wisconsin campus
University of Wisconsin (especially the Memorial Union Terrace on Lake Mendota), and visiting the State Capitol
Wisconsin.gov - Capitol Tour .
To truly experience Wisconsin, eat at a Culvers Restaurant
Experience fresh, delicious food served with a great big side of friendly smiles and warm hospitality. along one of your drives.
You will have a great vacation in Wisconsin!

Thank you for the detailed response. Two Rivers Why: it allows children to stop me stay an extra day in Milwaukee and then to advance me to begin tour of Door County. If I stay so long in Chicago, it's because I have a day of rest, a day for the game.
Yes I'm a fan of American football, and I wanted to see a game the Packers, but the schedule does not allow it. I love Brett Favre, I would go see a game for the Bears in place on September 11.
I look forward to discovering your area

While in Green Bay remember the Packer Hall of Fame is open every day of the year so don't miss that. If you like roller coasters Bay Beach Amusement Park in Green Bay added one this year. It's a wooden rolloer coaster called the Zippin Pippin. It only costs one dollar to ride and is a replica of the roller coaster that was at Liberty Land in Memphis and was reportedly Elvis Presley's favorite. There is a Wildlife Sancturary across the street from the amusement park. Also Green Bay has a very nice Botanical Gardens, if you're there on a Wednesday the second largest Farmers Market in the state after Madison's is over on Broadway. The NEW Zoo is fun as is Heritage Hill a living history museum which has some of the original builidngs from Fort Howard (Green Bay is Wisconsin's oldest settlement), Then there is the National Railroad Museum if you like choo choo's. Some good downtown restaurants for dinner would be Hinterland, Republic Chop House, Black and Tan, Koko's Sushi. For night life you might want to check the following venues to see if anything is on tap for the night you're in town: Meyer Theatre, Weidner Center for the Performing Arts, Resch Center, Oneida Casino. Hope you enjoy your stay in Wisconsin.

There are plenty of hotels in Green Bay. Try going to tripadvisor and reading about the different hotels or go to a website like expedia or hotels.com to get an idea of what the going rates are.

I'm sure there are many European torusits that travel though Wisconsin. So, let me say, welcome, I hope you have a lovely vacation or holiday while you are here.
But please, do not eat at Culver's, it's just "fast food" that is not healthy and will clog your arteries. Unless, of course, you like fried food and frozen custard (ice cream).
Door County is nice, stop at the parks and dip your toes in wonderful Lake Michigan.

You may be surprised at how many cities, towns, and geographic features in Wisconsin have French names. But don't be fooled, nobody in Wisconsin speaks French any more.
Please register to post and access all features of our very popular forum. It is free and quick. Over $53,000 in prizes has already been given out to active posters on our forum. Additional giveaways are planned.
