Hello,

we are taking the Lab to the Rhinelander area in mid August.
Does anyone know a reasonable price housekeeping cabin where he will be at home and it's free of mosquitos/dense swamp?

thanks very much,

reddirtroad

We took our Goldens to Eagle River and found a great place. Is that too far?

Thanks a lot.

The mosquitos have been pretty thick this year, due to the the heavy rain we had in late spring/early summer. Bring your OFF!, citronella candles, tiki torches... it works!
This resort actually advertises "pet-friendly" www.kafkas-resort.com
Never been there since I live here, but it looks nice!

Eagle River is less than a half hour from Rhinelander. I think the sign actually says 21 miles. Good luck & have fun!

Abai Shores in Eagle River was great. Not cheap, but a great place. We took two big Goldens and they did fine there. I would recommend it. Mosquitos? Oh, the hummingbirds' cousins. Yep, they're there.

Thanks everyone.

We are still getting ready for the move/trip and appreciate the heads-up on mosquitos.
