Thank you all so much! After my visit to Wisconsin in July, and even posting on this board, I've come to realize that people in Wisconsin seem to be the friendliest people I've come across! Thank you all for your encouragement!
Every year, my uncle has a prime rib party for the Michigan/Michigan State football game. The party was split in two--half for Michigan, half for State. While everyone was bickering, I proudly wore my Wisconsin sweatshirt, letting them all fight. The food was good, though!:-)

In Michigan, it's Maize; In Wisconsin, it's corn.

Beaver Dam is very nice, and also go to a Packer Game (if you can)! Madison area has lots to do, and you will have low crime, great people and one of the best places to live! Congrats....

I totally tricked my cell with a Wisconsin theme. I have "On, Wisconsin!" programmed as both my ringtone and my calltone (meaning that whenever someone calls my cell, they hear "On, Wisconsin!" until I answer, or the voicemail answers.)
In fact, I go to this restaurant every week, and the people there call me Wisconsin. I go there to check up on my Badgers.
In other news, I'm coming back for another visit in a couple of weeks. I'm going to meet w/ some people for a new place to live, and to see my new workplace in Beaver Dam. I can't wait to meet some more Wisconsinites. They are the nicest people around!
Talk to you all later, my soon-to-be fellow Wisconsinites!

Great to hear all the updates and I am glad that you are loving WI as much as you thought you would!
I was just home over the holidays and drove past the New Distribution Center that you mentioned! WOW! Unbelievable.
It is so great to think of how many jobs that brought to the area! Especially since there are so many small towns around and people have to commute
so far. Sometime when you are in the mood to go for a drive and possible relax head to Green Lake. Of course now it’s cold and not much going on. But it is a hug beautiful lake and great to vacation, fish, dine. It is a small, small town on a great lake not far from Beaver Dam. . http://www.visitgreenlake.com
Oh and by the way don’t forget to go to Milwaukee some weekend. About an hour+ away. Go downtown it’s a awesome city! Go to a Bucks game an fish fry! Then you are really a Wisconsinite!
Have fun and Go Badgers Basketball! Number 1 and 2!!! What a great year for Badger Sports!!!

Isn't this fantastic!!! Last year both male and female hockey teams finished #1, the football team is consistently at the top of the list, and now...for the first time in history....the basketball team is #1. Go Bucky!

Lovin' it here!
Sorry I haven't posted in a while. Thank you all for your support! I am living in Waunakee. Nice, quiet town with Madison in my back yard. So far, I LOVE it here! The people at my work are very friendly (well, most of them, anyway!) I've found no shortage of things to do. Last weekend, I took a drive around to see some of the other towns in the area. I saw Fort Atkinson, Jefferson, Watertown, Waterloo, Deerfield, Cambridge, and Marshall. Very nice towns!

I know. I'm taking a lot of heat about that, since Lansing is my home town. When the Spartans come to Madison, we'll get them back!
