Packers Game - Opening Weekend
I will be attending the Packers/Eagles game on September 9th. I will be with a group of 7 guys, all from philadelphia. We are all single, straight guys in our late 20's. We will be staying in milwaukee that friday, then driving to GB for the rest of the weekend, leaving monday morning. I am looking for recommendations on bars (preferrably with girls) and restaurants that we could check out in the areas (money is not an issue).
thanks in advance for your help...go birds!!

In Green Bay go to Washington St, don't get to caught up in the Holmgren Way scene, it's overrated. For women go to Stirrups, Confettis(probably your best bet to score) Pie but the name is the math symbol and is right across the street from Confettis. Also for boozin bars go to Firehouse(right next to Confettis) or if your looking at the river from the parking ramp anything to the right of the ramp. I'm 28 btw and enjoy all of those bars. P.S. Stirrups is a country music bar but if you can get by the music the scenery is fantastic most of the time.

Where are you staying in Milwaukee? Tons of great bars / nightlife in Milwaukee...depending upon where you are staying, I can provide some great suggestions.

When I'm up in Green Bay, we usually partied at Stadium View and Anduzzi's (I think that's how you spell it). Always had good times! Have fun!

We are staying at the Marriott in downtown Milwaukee...I appreciate the feedback and other recommendations would be appreciated.
For restaurants, I have heard good things about Brett Favre's Steakhouse...anyone know anything about this?

yes, Brett Favre's Steakhouse is expensive but well worth it. But the day of the game is all about tailgating, and there is plenty to see and do all around the stadium. Stadium View is a great place to stop, right by the BF Steak House.
A fun place in Milwaukee is Safe House...they make you do all kinds of crazy things to get in there.

Brett Favre's steak house is a cool place to go. Pricey but its a great enviroment. Personally, I really enjoy Curly's Pub too. It is located inside Lambeau Field and has GREAT food. Be prepared to wait though, every time I've gone the service was super slow, but once we got the food we forgot all about it.

Staying at the Mariott in Downtown Milwaukee, you'll be very close to tons of great nightlife spots in Downtown - Milwaukee has a great nightlife, doubly for a city of its size.
If I were you, for what you are looking for, I would grab a cab (or get directions to walk, which you easily could) and head to Water Street. Start out at Bar Louie and then let the night take you where you go. Water Street is the main bar drag in Downtown Milwaukee (among other great places in Downtown) and you'll find 10+ pretty cool bars within a couple of blocks on it - all hopping on a summer Friday night, and all with girls everywhere. Bar Louie would be an ideal starting spot I think.
If you don't want to do the main bar area of Water Street, you could do:
Mo's Irish Pub
710 N. Plankinton Ave. (corner of Wisconsin Ave. and Plankinton...big, nice bar / restaurant - casual - lots of girls - good place)
Taylor's
795 N. Jefferson St. (this is if you are looking for a more upscale, semi-dressy, "hip" place where you could get martinis and meet girls in that atmosphere - my wife likes Taylor's, me, I am more of a Mo's guy)
My Office
736 N. Milwaukee St. (more of a chill, very casual, almost dive-esque bar, but a hopping one generally)
I still would start if I were you at Bar Louie on Water Street and then have places like the Harp, Three Brothers, Mel's, Rosies Waterworks, McGuillicudy's, Brew City, etc., all nearby.
Great bars in Downtown Milwaukee.

Follow this advice
This person knows his stuff... follow it to a T. Be sure to go to the Harp in MKE.
