Escape Wisconsin is on a distinguished road
Default What about Oshkosh?

I have a potential job opportunity in Oshkosh.

Is Oshkosh a good place to live? What is the cost of living like, would it be comparable to central Wisconsin? Would another city be better, e.g. Appleton, Neenah, FDL...I am an apt dweller with a dog.

Just looking for ideas/suggestions. Thanks for your help!

Oshkosh is cheap but in my opinion is not worth living there anyway. Its boring, no nice scenery, run-down, etc.

Appleton is probably the best off in the area. Appleton has a lot more recreation and tourist centered activities. Check it out.

If you are willing to commute, look at Green Lake. Nice, quiet community. Beautiful lake.

Good luck,

commuting is no good. i personally can't stand my commute from appleton to oshkosh. you could think about living in neenah - halfway between the two.
