Talking Where to buy lots of tropical fruit in Appleton / Green Bay area?

That about says it--I'm looking for somewhere to buy tropical and other fruit (for ex. persimmon, fig, mango, sapote, plum, apricot, pear, guava, melons...) that is within reasonable driving distance from the Appleton area. Organic would be nice, but not necesarry.
Maybe something like a distributor for Asian groceries, or a wholesaler?

Thanks!! :-D

Look for Hispanic produce markets, of which there seem to be at least a small handful in the Fox Valley area. Obviously availability and quality varies by season. Couldn't find a mango to save my life a couple months ago. Now they're cheap and plentiful.

Try Indian Grocery Store at 2333, West Wisconsin Avenue, Appleton (next to Indian Darbar restaurant). It is closed on Mondays.
There is an Indian store in Green bay as well, though I have never been there.

Alternately, google for 'Asian grocery stores' near and in Appleton. Asian grocery stores will stock tropical fruits/ veggies subject to availability.

jlawrence01 -- either, really! Thanks for the suggestions, guys! I've checked the Indian grocery on Wisconsin, and they didn't have anything but that was a couple months ago. Same with the Mexican grocery on College. I think there are a couple of other Asian stores I haven't checked so I'll take a peek in them sometime. :-)

We have an Asian store in Stevens Point which stocks tropical fruits- Guavas, Mangoes, Papayas, etc.

You should be able to find an Asian store in Appleton, considering that Appleton is a lot bigger than Stevens Point.

Else, try Green Bay.

P.S.: Just looked at your original post. Melons, plums and pears will be available in any grocery store, including Walmart.
