A visit to Eau Claire
My son and I just spent a week in Eau Claire. He'll be there all summer playing baseball for the Eau Claire Express. I wanted to write a little note letting all y'all know that you have a fine city with friendly people. Everywhere we went folks were friendly and the service at restaurants and stores was wonderful. It was a whole lot cooler than what we're used to in Texas but I can see the benefits of that too - except maybe in the winter.

Your son will surely appreciate that it's a lot cooler than Texas while he spends all summer out on the ball field. I wish your son the best of luck but I'll be rooting against him whenever they play the Madison Mallards.
