Default Minority in Hudson, Wisconsin

Anyone know what the diversity is like in Hudson, WI? Thinking of moving there but don't want to feel out of place.

I've never lived there, but based on time spent there... there's not much diversity.

That being said, I would think that it would be easier to be a minority there than in other small to mid-size communities in Wisconsin. It's almost becoming a bedroom community to the trendy and diverse Twin Cities, so the residents might be more used to minorities than other parts of northern WI. I can't speak for a minority but if that's the only negative you can come up with, I'd say do it anyway. It's a nice place.

that's a good point, tying it to the twin cities. I've known many up there who for various reasons live on the WI side but work in the Minneapolis area, with places like Hudson being convenient to travel back and forth each day. So depending on what the OP does for work, that may 'help' in any transition.

Whites are at about 98 percent in Hudson. the largest minority group is Hispanics at only 1 percent. Even though hudson is a suburb in one of the whitest metropolitan areas in the country everyone is welcomed and treated well, however in minneapolis and saint paul there is many diverse neighborhoods, mainly hmong, black and hispanic
