I can vouch, it was mid 80s and HUMID in Two Rivers today. I suppose that's still better than 90s or 100s and only a little less humid.

Two Rivers is located on a small peninsula which keeps it cooler than most other places in WI. The only time that might not be the case is when you have a west wind.

My mom grew up there.

Happy Independence day!

I enjoy the hot weather for a change. Biking short distances and feeling the warm sun on your skin feels great. Overall, I couldn't tolerate 90s for more than 2 weeks though.

I like the weather range in Wisconsin. In the winter when it gets down to 5 degrees I psyche myself to enjoy it as well. Weather tolerance is in the head.

Lows in the upper 70s is not OK with me though & I definitely need an a/c in my second floor apartment.

I don't think I would like those temps you guys have been experiencing, especially if the humidity and mosquitoes are also bad.
How have mosquitos been this summer back there?
I remember some wet summers where in the evening, it was ablsolutely unbelievable how bad they could be.

Glad we moved to PNW. It seems like the rest of country is cooking, but here we still put on light sweaters in morning or evening.

This weather sucks horse balls. The reason I live this far north is so that I don't have to deal with weather like this.

When it hit 98 back in May, that was not bad at all because the humidity was 20-something percent. With the humidity currently at about 327%, this s#*t is downright cripling.

I agree!

I hate this. I can't even bring the kids to the park. The equipment is just so hot!

I saw a news clip where they went out and measured the surface temperature of the swing seat at a playground... the thermometer clocked in at 147 degrees. Imagine your kid parking his/her little backside on that.

Mosquitoes haven't been bad near Madison this year. Mainly what causes the discomfort is the dew points. The dew point is like a degree. I notice our dew points seem to be in the upper 50's lower 60's the last few days making it uncomfortable. Out in Nevada it may be 101 with a dew point of 25 degrees. The higher the dew point the wetter the air. As Drover said it has felt like 327% humidity lately. I went to the pool today and it didn't even feel cold. Nice thing was I had it myself. With the daily highs around 105 people seem to stay inside. If I have a pool I will utilize it.

I grew up where this was the norm for a few months straight with no breaks. I even worked in no air conditioning down there. Don't miss it at all.
It's comforting to know that cooler air in Wisconsin is never far away.

Yeah, I saw it was only in the mid to upper 80s today in the Northwoods, which is where I desperately want to be right about now.
