This weather sucks. I hate winter, but as I'm getting older, summer is really annoying me to. I won't be happy unless its 65F-70F every day, partly sunny and tstorms every 4 days....

huge snow storms (every week), followed by a complete melt and low 50Fs all winter...

Ha you just described the perfect weather! 65 is comfortable, and I dont mind some heavy snow if it melts 2 days later and it's sunny all winter!

I really dislike this weather, hot and dry is the worst. Of course, this is coming from a huge weather buff who likes to see rain, snow, t'storms, etc. I am surprised by how many locals are loving the heat and humidity. If you like this stuff, I suggest moving to Florida where you can get it much of the year.

Oh come on, DLL, it can't be that bad.

I agree with your comfort temperature, though.

This isn't bothering me a bit. My husband has a band, and Friday they had TWO outdoor gigs. It was 106. We're lucky somebody didn't croak. However, i did NOT complain, the first gig I was under a tent (I do the sound) and the second gig I held an umbrella over my head 'til the sun was lower. And we ARE moving to Florida, as soon as we can afford to quit our jobs.

I LOVE these hot days and warm nights. I don't miss winter and snow one bit. Not even a little. I just wish we had a little more rain so things were greener.

When do think you will realistically make that move to FL, mrs.cool? I'm always more optimistic about WI in the summer months, so I think about relocating *much* less. Although I must admit that I'm presently weighing the pluses and minuses of purchasing a vacation home in FL in the near future.

i had to laugh, one year into our SC living, and the area got hit with 8" of snow... we left WI to get away from snow as this part of the state never gets the white stuff.!
First understand that flurries can shut schools here (one 3" snow with ice closed schools for days), and stores are hit for bread and water. But 8" of snow (was like the 3rd highest in histroy)... well it was the first time in many years i could sit on our front porch as it was decent temps, just relax, and think to myself "thank goodness i dont have to shovel that crap" lol. It was gone in a couple days. But i do have to admit, i found snow on palm trees quite pretty. and ironic.

Snow is not all bad if the temps are between 20-35 degrees. It is fun especially here in NH when you can snowshoe or cross country ski without freezing your butt off. Snowblower does my work for me. We had a very hot and dry summer 2 years ago and it sucked. 1/2 in of rain in 8 weeks. Humidity and 90's. You can only take off so much and still sweat but you can do things with cold and not have to bundle up excesssively, plus it feels so good to come inside and warm up. We can get to the ocean in summer and the temps are significantly lower and only 45 minutes away.

That is exactly right. I'm tired of the sun and heat. I prefer my sun during the winter, not in the summer. Unfortunately, that doesn't work out too often.

I don't even mind temperatures down near zero. In fact I wish winters in Chicago were colder so I wouldn't have to schlep up to the middle of Wisconsin to partake in my winter sports activities. To me the major issue with winter is that they're just too long. Drover's ideal winter would be as follows: cold as hell from December through February, then instant spring come March 1st, complete with blooming flowers, warbling robins, and green ivy on the outfield wall at Wrigley.
