and to be honest with you, my husband I are really excited. We'll be very close to my parents, still close to family and friends in Chicagoland, and I get to come back to the place where I came into this world.

Everyone from my father (who lives in Oshkosh, has ever since I was born - I lived there up until age 20), to people here in the IL town we live in, have nothing but nice things to say about Neenah, especially the area we'll be living in. My husband has a job lined up already, but all I'll be looking for is part-time work - I have a few places I have in mind.

We plan on going up in a few weeks to sign the lease, and to look around where we'll be living. So, to make that a lot easier, we could use your help. What are the best:

-banks
-doctor/dentists - we'll be in-network with our plan, hospital will most likely be Theda Clark
-grocery stores
-pet food stores (other than Petco/Petsmart)
-veterinarians
-yoga studios

The area we'll be living in is north of Hwy 10 and west of 41, so that's pretty close to Fox Valley Mall which is nice. I'll be looking to go back to college at UW-Fox Valley also. Now, since I do still have a parent living in the state, would I still qualify for in-state tuition? I thought I heard that was possible, even if the student hasn't lived in the state for a few years.

Also, when it comes to getting your drivers' license - do you just take the test if you have a valid out-of-state license, and nothing on your record?

Thanks for any help in advance!

I consider Aurora Health Care to be one of the best. We have them here in Kenosha and they're full of caring professionals.

The best grocery stores in the area are the Festival Foods. Brand new one just opened in Neenah on Green Bay Road today. Pet Supplies Plus on Northland in Appleton has decent healthy petfood section.

Google points to the Wisconsin DMV has a page that answers this question.

I went to the Festival here yesterday, and it was a beautiful store. I haven't been to one in ages, and even after being gone for 9 years I could find everything I needed.

Good to know Pet Supplies Plus has a good healthy pet food section. Thanks!

I'm in luck then. I got my license from IL almost 2 years ago, so all I need to do is take the vision test and surrender my old license.

The Festival on Green Bay rd is nice but prices are a little higher than my personal favorite Woodmans. Lines can be a little crazy at Woodmans but there selection for non-meat items is unmatched in the valley.
