Default I am working at Great Lakes, can I live in Kenosha?

I am looking for a permanent home and will be living in corporate quarters. I do not mind a drive if it is reasonable, or the train if I can get it. It is myself and my husband, kids are grown. What do you guys think?

Sure you can. The Metra train starts in downtown Kenosha and drops you off right at the Great Lakes main entrance. There are plenty of people do that every day. If you prefer, you can drive straight down Sheridan Road in about half an hour. Even at commute hours, the traffic is fairly light.
Real estate is much cheaper in Wisconsin than Illinois, but taxes are higher. There are some extremely nice manufactured home communities (definitely NOT "trailer parks") with very attractive new homes and very cheap space rents, which cater to empty nesters. There are many new condos and townhomes being built in downtown Kenosha which is trying to pick itself up.

Seriously consider Kenosha if you don't mind the driving. Excellent school system, and easy commute.
