Default Rhinelander question

Does anyone know why there are so many registered sex offenders in Rhinelander, is there a residential center there for them or...... 47 reg offenders seems like a lot for such a small town. Just curious.

I've noticed that in rural counties, it is not unusual for the county seat to have a high number of registered sex offenders. (Rhinelander is the seat of Oneida County.) I think this is because it's easier to monitor them the closer they are to the institutions that are required to monitor them. That and maybe they just don't go far after they're released from lockup.
