Default Marshfield.....Population Q

I dont get it
I live here and it seems like we are growing.
New kids are coming to the city from Wisconsin Rapids, and new business such as Quiznos and Starbucks are here/are coming soon.

So I look at the population and they say that Marshfield is declining in population?!?!?! I dont get it. How do they make those predictions, because it seems like every city in the area and almost the state seems to be declining in population.

I think there is a lot of growth in the unincorporated areas around the city, especially to the west and north

McMillian has close to 2,000 people... the Township of Marshfield has 811 people. Hewitt is 670. Stratford has 1,523. Spencer has 1,932 people. Loyal has 1,308. Granton has 406. Count all the other townships and small cities close by and you have a lot of people. Population in the city itself could be shrinking, but maybe the number of temporary residents has happened.
