Red face Rib Lake WI "Howdy-Do-In-62" GREAT FUN Kind people

Anyone from Rib Lake Wisconsin recall "The Howdy Do in 62"? It was a street festival party...lots of fun! People friendly and kind. The history of the place is interesting. Where do I learn more about that? Also, mom was rasied in the village, attended schools there: Novak and Gessert our family names. Guess things may have changed allot sense then, but would like to visit and find some "old-timers" who might recall my grandfather owning the Butcher Shop prior to the Depression on Main St in Rib Lake: Jim Novak. I recall lots of rainbows in the area...and more.

I was raised near Ogema and we went there to the feed mill in late 40's. had a showhouse there which has since been torn down. they have one grocery store but at one time there were more. it has gotten smaller now days but they still have a street festival and dance called "ice age days". Im 60 yrs old now but i remember a place they used to call "Queenstown". Its now called Westboro. all the buildings are gone from Queenstown. My grandfather worked the lumbercamps around 1895 and settled there in 1924, so he had a lot of stories that even the residents dont know. He fired the last steam train in the riblake lumber mill.
