Relocating to Eau Claire, WI
Hi..
We are planning to relocate to Eau Claire. What is a nice residential area/schools in EC. Our kids are 6 and 8 and what activities can they possibly do during winter and how bad is the winter?
Thanks for your replies.

How bad winter will be depends on where locating from.Eau Claire area roads are usually good and cleaned off when snows..Cold wise can be worse but easy to get used to if live in a colder climate.
Winter activities hockey, skating, skiing, sledding, roller rink and such.YMCA may have more for them by age groups also.
On residential area and schools unsure hopefully a person living there can help ya more on that.
May want to start own thread and get more replies that way.

Wisconsin is very cold in the winter. It's entirely possible that the temperature will never rise above 0 degrees in January and fall as low as 20 or 30 below--and that doesn't count windchill. If you're not familiar with windchill it's the "feels like" temperature produced by the combination of straight temperature plus wind. Summers can be swelteringly hot and humid. If you can tolerate temperature extremes, you might like it. If you can't, look elsewhere.
