There's plenty of wildlife on State Street on Friday and Saturday nights.
Oh, you mean a different kind of wildlife. What, did you expect to see a bear or a deer wandering down Midvale Avenue or something? You're in an urban environment. There's a reason why it's called "wildlife."
If you live on the edge of suburbia, you might have deer wander in and out of your yard from time to time. Otherwise, you'll need to get out of the city to see a substantial variety of wildlife. Particularly, you'll find most of it in the Northwoods in the northern half of the state. I was just up there a couple months ago and I saw more deer than I could count, a porcupine, a couple of hawks, a crane/heron (couldn't really tell which), plus one unfortunate bear who had a 40 MPH rendezvous with the front end of my car.

It is possible now days to have a lost bear or deer straggle into Madison or any other town in WI, but you really have to go out on some nature trails to see real wildlife. Up in the Warrens, Mather area (Where they have the Cranberry Fest), Necedah area and anywhere else, almost, north of Wis. Dells, you can find a lot of nature paths. Just be careful. Go to the city hall or Chamber of Commerce for the county/town that you are interested in touring and get a county map!!! You do not want to get lost in the marshes or woods!
If you go up to Mather Hwy 173 and then go on county rd H or any other county or side road up there you will see wildlife galore in the spring - fall. It is also a beautiful area, but bring your bug spray and long sleeves if you plan to be there after dusk! There's a lot of marsh land up there so lots of the state bird - miquitos! LOL

Glad you like the video Enelra32, I saw your comment on YouTube.
I posted this following video on Google Videos, it is bigger than the 100MB allowed by YouTube. You might enjoy watching it. Window Bucks
I have a few other videos on YouTube, I'll post some links to them.

It's about two bucks that spent their life around our house. I kept track of them for almost three years.
The second year we saw them they made their presences known by eating our japanese yews right under our computer room window. Thus the name "Window Bucks".
