Timerbline;

Assuming you know my viewpoints, which are probably quite different than yours; and assuming I owned a good brewery, I bet you wouldn't buy my product.
That would be your right.

I think business owners that actively court their political agendas in the public, (as the NG brewing owners do) run the potential of losing (or gaining) business. There are many factors people take into account when making purchasing decisions and I do know folks who have stopped purchasing their products for this reason. That is all I was getting at.

ccjarider--why do people consistently stick their views about stuff that has nothing to do with the original post on this forum? Is it because they are anonymous, so they can just get out their negative attitudes online? The original poster was asking for some help in making a big decision--not some diatribe about companies and their political views. Anyway, who CARES what their views are, or YOURS for that matter? They make good beer.

jzeig104: My original comment was not directed to the OP. The comment was directed to another poster who made a strong statement about a topic OP may or may not care about (a business in the town).

I offered a different commentary on same business. The comment may not matter to you, (totally understand that); but this is a discussion forum and lots of threads go in many crazy directions. Hell on lots of these things, OP's are long long gone and yet the thread can carry on for months.

And as stated earlier, yes they do make a good beer; not the best in the US though.

If it was a good product at a good price, I would buy it.

I'd only consider a boycott if the business was using the money to promote hatred/bigotry/intolerance, and that happens very rarely, thankfully. I can't even recall it being an issue, has to be a decade or more.

But to not buy something on run of the mill political difference? Please. That would be moronic.
