Default Dodgeville to Wisconsin Dells

I'll be driving to the Dells from my grandparents in Iowa over the holidays. I was wondering what the roads are like from Dodgeville to the Dells as they look mostly 2 lanes.

I've driven from Winona, Minnesota to Eau Claire on highway 93 before, so it doesn't scare me. I'm just curious what it's like.

Well... you'll be driving through some flat spots, some hilly spots with blind curves and uphill passing lanes, not a lot of traffic to contend with, you'll have to slow down to drive through the odd town here and there... If you take 23 to 60 and then go east to 12, about the last 1/3rd of your drive would be 4-lane highway.

Doesn't sound like anything to difficult. Is there a better route to take if the weather is adverse?

If the weather is bad either wait a day to go, the roads will be clear or just slow down and drive more cautiously if they aren't too bad. It isn't all that different then driving in Eastern Iowa, just more trees in Wisconsin.
