I just booked a trip to mexico in March. I can't wait Just thinking about it will help me get thru this long, cold winter.

My daughter went on a field trip camping for two nights with her fifth grade class today. They will stay in a dorm, but are learning survival skills outside. I am so glad I didn't have to chaperone. When it goes below zero I like to stay inside. All the snow is beautiful though.

I don't mind the cold, but wish it was more sunny.

Last night on our news they said we have 10 inches more of snow then we did last year. But that is still below average. Today it is sunny. But I know the southern WI is going to get 6 inches of snow or more today. But not us!

Whoa! The weather channel had us getting an inch in Madison. Looked at weather underground and sure enough, we're getting 5 to 7. That would sound like sentence for some whiners in here, but for me it's time to charge up the camera batteries! Looking forward to it!

The Milwaukee area has received roughly 55 inches of snowfall to-date which is right at the average yearly total. Tonight's predicted foot of snow will blast past the average for the year, and we still have FEB, MAR, and April to go.

I grew up in Milwaukee and remember well getting sunburnt in April laying out in the back yard and then the next day shoveling a foot of wet heavy snow, and opening day of baseball with flurries and long underwear if the game was not cancelled due to a blizzard. Good luck. Now I live 4 hours north of milwaukee and miss the relative warmth. My snow piles in the drive are to the point I can not throw the snow up anymore, I have to walk with it and dump it, Up here it does not melt. EVER what you get in october and november is still there in late april. Sheesh why the heck do we live here!!!!!

This year has been great for those who make their living removing snow or anyone associated with snowmobiling. It has been 5 years since we have had this snowy of a winter. It is beautiful and I love it.

Lord have mercy! I've been snowed in since last Friday, because there was no place else to put all the snow. My God, when will it end. If I shovel it out to the street will the snow plows remove it without giving me a ticket?

Yes they will.... but then when the plow comes along and pushes all the snow to the side of the road, you run the risk of getting plowed right back in. Fun!
