Well some things never change aye! Yeah here is my solution to Highway 43 from
Sheboygan to Green Bay, the Brown County stretch of Highway 54 and East Mason.
Get Federal funding to provide drive thru strut and shock replacement ! These stretches
now compete with Indiana I- 65 the worse road iin America. We get the fact that
Brown County is a flashback of 17th century Romania and bankrupted , but not cashing
in on federal funds to resurface these neglected roads is ridiculous. i could add the
main drag in downtown nearly impassible in my little Sonic. What a mess especially
having the audacity of expecting a draw for conventions!.,.....really? It has always been
the water here in zombie land. Seriously, it is difficult to contol a compact car or
unloaded van/truck on these roads and extremely wearing on any vehicle.

Come on, I drive that all the time and there are many worse stretches around the country. Add to this the fact that areas of GB are under seemingly-perpetual construction (172 & the forever-awful 41 come to mind immediately) and there are other, more important fish to fry first.

The last time I drove to port washington ( was a few years ago ), as soon as I got out of manitowoc county the roads got real rough, it was like that all the way there. The speed limits I could tolerate without being shaken up like crazy in my suv, was between 45 and 55 mph.

yeah, i used to think WI roads were the worst for years.... until we moved to SC and spent the past 6 years making multiple trips back home and driving around in the south, etc...... I'll now give props to Wi for being better equipped and prepared for the white stuff in winter compared to many other states, and frankly what i just drove thru 3 times in the past 6 weeks moving back here, our roads ain't that bad in summer either.

OP is right on one part, IN may win the crown for crappiest roads lol.

I'll see your relatively intact WI roads and raise you the bombed-out, Cold-War-Russia disaster that is western Duluth.
