I was wondering if anyone knows of a good autism school, not a public one, in Wisconsin. I have a 11 year old with ADHD/Autism, diagnosis was medium autism. I live in Northwest Arkansas. I moved here to take care of my grandparents, but since they have passed and there isn't a school for my son, I need to leave. I haven't anything, but bad luck with schools and people are pouring out with children that have autism. My husband died in 2013 so my budget is tighter. I really need to leave here and start a new life before I go crazy. I'm going back to school to change my degree and almost finished. Yes, I really-really need to leave here for my son's sake. Does anyone have any idea's to of what town or school. It doesn't matter how big, small or whatever. I need to leave for him. It's going on 2 years of homeschooling him the best that I can. He needs interaction and scheduling. I also need to work. Everyone I know has gone to NY, UT and CA. One person went to Dallas just to put him in a private school and is paying 2,000.00 a month. I can't afford that. I know Wisconsin has more to offer than Dallas. I just don't know where.

Private autism schools would probably be very expensive unless your school district pays to send your child there. In Wisconsin, people have mentioned Oconomowoc and Brookfield as cities with autism schools or programs. Your best bet would be to ask people on an autism or special ed forum.
