1. The Wisconsin Accents. I could not help but to laugh when even my own mother talks. I never realized how thick the accent is until I moved away a few years ago. No matter if you are in a restaurant, a bar, the store, or the street, this accent follows you everywhere!
2. Speed Limits are TOO SLOW! The speed limits on every road are so slow it felt like it took forever to get anywhere!
3. Everyone follows the rules on the road. I could not stand how everyone goes no more than 5 MPH over. Everyone uses their turn signals, and nobody does U-Turns. What's the deal Wisconsinites? Rules are meant to be broken.
4. The food! Had to eat at Taco Johns, Culvers and get some fried Wisconsin Cheese curds and some Leinenkugels. Most of these things you cannot find in the south.
5. Friendly Wisconsin people. Everyone is so nice in Wisconsin that I wanted to slap someone just to make someone angry!!!!!
6. The crappy roads. I realize that it was winter when I came back and that it is pothole season but was surprised the suspension didn't bust off the car while I was there.
7. Cheap drinks!!!! I have never been anywhere where $10 will get you drunk. Have people in Wisconsin even heard of a cover charge? For a good night of fun and partying in Tampa Bay, I spend at least $50/night for cover and parking and then overpriced drinks.
I am not sure if this post will actually be of interest to anyone but I wanted to share my observations.

I must agree!! I moved to the Tampa Bay area from Wisconsin when I was a kid and now that I'm an adult with a family I've brought my husband and children back. I definitely notice the accents, people say we're crazy, "don't cha know" for coming back but I think it's much better for families with small children, better environment than the hectic chaos of Florida.

Hartland, Slinger
I have friends, who at the time lived in Hartland, they were eating raw, ground sirloin sandwich style
The grocery store was fun to go to, first time I had seen blood cheese and head cheese
Back in the day, when it was not legal to smoke in restaurants in California and I visited them, they were so proud they could light up in the restaurant
They live in Slinger now and love it

Pizza fries consist of crust, tomato sauce and mozarella cheese. They are served in long slices with a side of sauce. We hosted an exchange student from Sweden about 15 years ago and he loved them.

My Polish grandmother would make blood sausage and head cheese at her farm in Iowa. Never been a fan of either one.

Don't they call it Wildcat? I swear I use to see raw meat packaged like that. Of course in upper crust places they have steak tartare.

Don't worry, none taken. They were big at a lot of weddings we would go to growing up as well. I'd still eat it today if I could.

Oh, my gosh, working for a German company for 33 yrs. steak tartare or Hockey Peter had to be a staple at all our meetings/conventions, etc. I thought ick at first but then became hooked on it. Not sure I'd have it today just anywhere though I'd be selective about the place. We used to get it for meetings at Lake Lawn Lodge in Delavan.
