Tucson, AZ to Neenah, WI?
Is it possible? What I mean by this is....my husband and I were born and raised here, can we and will we be able to deal with the weather differences? I think I would absolutely love it...I am quite sick of the heat! What kind of changes will we be facing? We have hardley ever even been around snow let alone live in it.

Very possible, just remember layer up as always take clothes off just not put them on if not have them.
Wisconsin has its real cold spells but usually not so bad.
But Tuscon to Neenah be big switch as large city to small town, But hey not worry about poisonous snakes, cactus or scorpions.
I have a friend that was born in south lived in Minnesota one winter loved it. They are now in Tuscon and he wants to move to Wisconsin for the ice fishing and cooler weather.

It is possible. We move to Cottonwood in May from S.E. Wisconsin. (seriously considered tucson).
Lived in S.E. WI for 48yrs. and worked outside for 35yrs
The weather [normally] air temps will range from -5 to -10 in winter at its coldest to +90 to +95 warmest in the summer.

Humidity comparisons: Today in WI 80% -100%

the extreme 1989 over 90+ 38 days
the extreme 2004 over 90+ 0 days
add in humidity levels of 50% - 100% and you have the other state bird:
mosquitos. Buy lots of "OFF"
So whats worse - mosquitos or scorpions?
110 & no humidity or 90+ w/ 50% - 100% humidity?
IMO, born, raised in WI - I would move back to that part of WI. The other would be the Pairie Du Chien area (south of LaCrosse)

There are venomous snakes in WI, especially the western portions of the state ( Crotalus horridus--timber rattlesnakes), but not nearly in the numbers they are in Arizona.

Good morning, Jenml,
I think anything is possible, as long as you remain open minded, with a positive attitude. It sounds like you have had enough of the Arizona heat.
I must ask: Have you ever been to Wisconsin? What has made you consider Neenah?
I must tell you, I have lived in Wisconsin all of my life (46 years) and I am very tired of the winters. To me, they are too long, too cold, too snowy, and too gray and cloudy. I would be happiest if I could run around outside in shorts and t shirt all year! I wish we could trade places for a while...you could get a feel for Wisconsin, and I could get a feel for Arizona and the desert.
Wisconsin does have 4 seasons, and I think that would be very appealing to you and your husband. Snow can be very beautiful. We went for a hike yesterday around Mauthe Lake, and it was picture postcard perfect. However, snow can be a real pain in the butt. Driving in it can be a challenge! Playing in it is fun...cross country skiing, down hill skiing, ice skating, snow shoeing, ice fishing...some folks even participate in an activity called ice racing, where they take their vehicles out on the frozen lakes and race them.
Anyways, you asked what sort of changes you would be facing...in my opinion, you would come across many changes. You would experience the beauty of the four seasons in Wisconsin. You would learn how to drive on snow covered roads. You would have a diverse selection of activities to choose from year round. You would get to expand your wardrobe, in that you need warm clothes, layers, and heavier coats for the winter season, and of course shorts and summer apparel for the warmer seasons.
Indeed, anything is possible!

It's -2 as I write this I would highly recommend first spending a week here in January or February. I like the snow and the changing of the seasons but it's not for everyone. That being said there are many things that are wonderful about Wisconsin despite the winter weather. While much of the country is either baking or swealtering, our summers are fantastic.
