Hi all, I was just hired for a job in De Pere and will be moving in two weeks. I'm fairly familiar with the Green Bay area as my family is one gigantic Packer fanatic. My family owns a home on Spence St. in Green Bay and I will be staying there for a short amount of time until I find my own place. So, my question, what would be the best value and area for me? Please keep in mind, I am 24, will be living on my own, so what I am looking for as far as rent is $600 or less. I know De Pere is the best option as far as safety, location, cleanliness, etc., but from my research it seems there aren't many places for less than $600. I did come across one rental company, Bigelow Rentals, that own the apartments on Erie St. However, the company has really bad reviews all over the internet. Does anyone have experience with them?

I have also looked mainly in the Ashwaubenon area (Marvelle Ln. apts, Morris Ave, Anderson Dr). If anyone has experience with these areas or a better suggestion, I'm all ears!!

Thanks

Any of the suburbs are good, rent for 1BR is less than 600. I paid $625 in west DePere in a toonen property, 1BD 900 square feet.
Mostly stay out of the city due to old properties.

For $600/mo try Foxcroft or Creekwood apartments. Good area, close to Oneida/Stadium activities. I have a few friends that live in these apartments and they generally don't have complaints.
