Default GOOD NEIGHBORHOODS/SCHOOLS S.Wisconsin?

I need to find a place to live that has great schools, something that is preferably within an hours drive of Milwaukee or Chicago O'hare, and that has nice residential areas (preferably a 1 acre lot or larger).

Does anyone have a recommendations?

Washington County, just north of Milwaukee -- West Bend, and about 1.5 from Chicago. If closer to Milwaukee is more desireable, try Waukesha County...

Try Marshall, WI. Within an hour of Milwaukee & close to Madison. Quiet country living & safe neighborhoods. An area with lower property taxes than Milwaukee county & lowest in Dane.

I see you want to live close to an airport, have you considered Eau Claire? It's not in Southern Wisconsin, but it has one of the best school districts in the country. and its only a little over an hour to a major city (Minneapolis). The crime is very low here and it is a wonderful town. Property taxes are high, but thats why the schools are so good. Also low cost-of-living.

The perfect location between Milwaukee and Chicago is Pleasant Prairie , just west of Kenosha. I-94 is minutes away and connects you to both cities in less than an hour. There's also a Coach USA bus that stops every hour at 50 and 94 and gets to O'Hare in 45 minutes. Housing is surprisingly affordable for 1+ acre lots. I'm not familiar with the schools. We live west of there.
