need recommended stops for road trip
I'm planning a road trip from Chicago through Wisconsin, then up to Canada, in May. Never been, can anyone recommend a route to take or some small town to visit. Would love to spend a little time in Norman Rockwell type quaint towns...

I would spend some time in Bayfield. Great area, gorgeous scenery. Lake Superior is awesome. Door County is also great but out of the way.

Depends on route coming up 94 then hitting 53 north or what..Lake superior area has alot of older neighborhoods and things to do.
Unless use alot of out of way roads through farm country unsure of which way to send you.Farther North get though see a big difference.

On way back stop in Ladysmith and drop off the Walleye you catch while up there. Gas up before cross border as gas goes way up when enter Canada.

The original Norske Nook and pie is great they have one in Hayward now also.Go through Osseo alot have not stopped there in years though.
