The 7 day outlook is looking decent. Mostly high 20's and lower 30's the rest of the week! No more cabin fever!

It's funny you say old fashion winter. My dad and I were driving through Portage the other day, and he was commenting on how much snow there was on the ground. He said I feel like a kid again. He was telling me that when he was growing up in the 60's and 70's all this snow was quite common. I hope your right about the summer. It would be nice to have a cooler summer with the majority of it being 70's would be nice!!

Spring? What is this "spring" you speak of? I have never heard of a thing called "spring." Is it a season?

We haven't made maple syrup in a few years and I have a feeling that this year might be a good year for it.

I have family up in Westboro and Medford that market there own syrup. They said the last few years have been kinda tough. I haven't heard them complain about all the snow. So it must be doing them some good.

Last year was ok on tapping tree's should be starting soon have not heard as kids go help out my 11 year olds friend. They get $20.00 for 6 hour day of making bags and helping hang and free syrup so they love it. Not seen bags hanging yet but if no pipeline in woods gonna be a pain carrying buckets and such til get a trail established. Now keep winds down warm days frosty nights and let it flow! I know my maples not leaking yet.

It is still a few weeks away. But I am hoping with the snow cover we might get some decent sap running.
