We love WI cheese. We can buy some good stuff locally but also run down to New Glarus and Monroe to get some. Love the butter case cheese.
The only place in the US that still makes Limburger cheese is in Monroe. I don't like it but my brother loves it.

That's what I'm talkin' about!!! (picture of my cheese curds last time I was in WI)
Those cows wont be so happy when CA has a big earthquake and falls into the Pacific! WI should send life jackets for the cows to wear and then rescue them when the time comes!

As an outsider, I've got this to say: I think that most of the very good cheeses do come from Wisconsin I've noticed, but in my recent trip to Wisconsin I didn't see anywhere near as many cows as I'd expected, so even if some of the best cheeses come from Wisconsin, I don't think Wisconsin is producing as large of a quantity as California. Heck, I've seen more cows here in Tennessee than I did throughout all of the southern half of Wisconsin, and I travelled through a lot of rural backroads and all.

The point of this post is that I don't understand why Wisconsin is sitting back when this is the perfect opportunity to create a cute "comeback" commercial bashing California cows. Whats the deal Wisconsin? Its time to REPRESENT!!!!
Sorry to rant, these are just my thoughts I wanted to share.

Hey, not only are the cows happier, but the people are too, especially this time of the year!

Last night we made steak and smothered it in Wisconsin buttermilk blue cheese. It was heavenly.
I think the commercials are funny too. There was one where the mother warned the calf not to ask grandma where she grew up and it did. Grandma shuddered at the thought of a blizzard. Too funny.
We live by a couple of different cheese makers and one makes a better colby the other a better sharp cheddar. We ship Wisconsin cheese to our cousins out east. They love it, especially the cheese curds.
