I guess the reason we take things so seriously because we are the kind of folks that are straight to the point. We don't sugarcoat anything unlike California... It's not just a commercial, many farmers are angry because California is mass producing all this in factory farms rather than the so called "green pastures." You guys can have your fancy little earthquakes and beaches, just let us have our dairy... We don't flaunt our beautiful shores of Lake Superior and Lake Michigan in commercials that are to be aired in California, do we?

Wow, you people in CA sure take your dairy products a little too seriously that you have to poke your head into a Wisconsin forum to blab about it. Who cares? Obviously you do. And since you do, you might want to tell your state's dairy board that mocking a huge segment of its potential customer base is not a good marketing strategy.

what the hell are we sugarcoating? It's a COMMERCIAL ADVERTISEMENT, what do you expect? It's a free country, if you want to advertise the beautiful shores of Lake Superior or Lake Michigan in CA go right ahead, nothing is stopping you from doing it is it?

I think you're missing the point. We don't care that your dairy board is advertising their crap to us. We care that your dairy board is mocking us while advertising their crap to us. Nobody here cared about those stupid commercials until that started to happen.

Oh gee, please forgive me, I didn't realize there was some prerequisite that you had to be from WI to post on the WI forum. You don't see anyone in any of the CA forums telling people from out of state not to post in there, it happens all the time so get over it and calm the hell down. I just saw some thread as I was browsing through the general US forums that had some angry face and something about CA cows, so out of curiosity I clicked on it and read a few posts and was surprised about how angry and bitter some of you so called "nice Midwesterners" were about something so stupid. Well considering we're the #1 dairy state it does seem to be a good marketing strategy that works, haha. Have a great day, I'm off to the beach and lighten up a little please!

It's called "poor marketing." Do people mock Californians while trying to sell stuff to Californians? If you care so little about it, why are you making post after post about it? What is it to you how little or how much we care? Go away and find something else to talk about if it's so meaningless to you.
