Lots of robins every day but I hear there is more snow coming, guess it will be May before we are sure the snow is gone!

One of the posters said she is coming to Manitowoc in June and was hoping to see snow she may get her wish!

It was a great winter for winter lovers like me. We used our cross country and snowshoes more this winter then the last 5 combined. We also had a lot of sunny days that made the cold weather bearable.
But now I can't wait to get the garden growing!

I loved this winter. Coming from NH and upstate NY we were use to lots of snow. This winter did not disappoint. I counted how many days I walked outside this winter. From November when we moved here until yesterday, there were only 5 days that I did not walk at least a mile every day.
We also had a lot more sun then I expected. People kept saying about all the gray days but we sure didn't have them. I know it varies by area.
Can't wait to line up our spring and summer events.

One more sign of spring. My son just got invited to the Brewers game on Saturday. I can't believe the baseball season opens in a few days!

We have lots of grass showing but I heard it is snowing to the south again. The birds are so active at the bird feeder lately. I am going through tons of seed.

My lawn is almost totally visible now. When I drove to Illinois on Sunday as soon as I got south of Sheboygan you could see alot more snow on the ground.

Good for you for walking all winter long! I walked some but the ice really scared me so I wasn't walking daily. I am now and going to Curves as well, plus I'll walk my bike over to the Mobile station soon to get the tires pumped up. I am anxious to go for a bike ride.

Kate,
What a coincidence, my father is going to that game to. Must be some sort of draw.

I'm seeing red winged blackbirds, grackles and robins. The goldfinches are turning yellow. I can hear sand hill cranes flying overhead. The first crocus bloomed(the ones where the snow has melted)

I saw the geese flying back today too. My iris's are poking up along the front of the house where the sun hits it. My daffodils are still buried in the snow though.
My son is excited to go to the Brewers game. I know the roof will be closed!
