Opening day at the ball parks already! I knew spring was coming! I have to start looking at all these flower beds by the west side of the house and behind my garage to see if I can figure out what is what!

Wish I had a digital camera then some of you flower savy folks could help me identify them! I was so busy doing house stuff in Oct. that I didn't pay any attention really.
I'll need to trim off the old stuff and see what is coming up.

My sister got me a "burning bush" and I forgot about it, had it in the original pot by my deck. I got in the ground right before the frost so I'm hoping it survived. I'll have an awful lot of stuff to do outside plus to clean up as I had contractors here in Dec. and Jan. and they could only do so much because of the snow.

My husband is so excited about baseball starting. We are going to look for a big screen tv today. And I have to order the MLB package from DirectTV. We'll have it in time to watch the Elite 8 too. I was sorry to see the Badgers lose but Davidson has to be the Cinderella team this year.

OK, I'm bringing this one back! :-) It is pouring rain, windy, damp, furnace keeps going on and I am convinced Spring is right around the corner! I want this to be the last gasp that I thought was a last gasp, hmmmm, a few weeks ago I said that maybe????

Come on Spring!

It is snowing here too. But they are saying 58 by Wednesday. We need to cut down a few trees on our building lot this weekend. The builder is ready to go once the weight limits are off the roads.
I ordered my onion sets and they should be arriving soon. I was looking through my seeds and thinking the peas should go in by May 1st.

Rain here too, we had about three inches of snow a couple of days ago but it melted the following day.
My daylilies are already pushing thru, my grass is turning green. Yep! Spring is here!

As soon as it dries up a little I want to get my tiller out and put in some tecomate for the deer. It will be a couple of small food plots, each only 100 x100 feet.

My cedars took a beating from the deer this year, browse line is up six feet. I took this pictures March 21st.

Hmm, a bunch of hungry deer! Now I know what I'm looking at when I see trees along the road with only foliage on the very top!

Who is sending me all the snow? Talking 8-18 inches and state patrol advises no travel up her in Rusk county and points north.

I keep telling my sister she is getting more snow and she is in total denial. A very slow moving low pressure system just keeps circling around as it moves east, not good.

I've been watching this one on NOAA and it is huge, the low center is still in Iowa. We may even get snow here on the lakeshore later.

Enough, I have cute little purple flowers out already!

Hummingbird Migration Maps

Here is a good sign. The first hummingbird was seen in Wisconsin today. He may be a bit cold and hungry though.
