Question need to find a 1/2 way point between Milwaukee and Racine

We are in need of moving from Fond Du Lac south because of new jobs. Here is the issue 3 kids grades 9,6,5. I do not want to drive more than 30 minutes although my husband would not mind up tp 45. Where can we live? His job is in Racine and mine is on the South Side of Milwaukee any ideas?

Thumbs up South Milw & Oak Creek

Both South Milwaukee & Oak Creek (in Milw County) have pretty good schools. I live just outside Oak Creek in Caledonia (Racine County) and LOVE the area but the Racine school system is HORRIBLE. I'd strongly recommend Caledonia if you not for the schools.

Driving from the South end of Oak Creek to downtown Milw takes only 20-25 minutes if you're not close to the I94 entrance ramps. About the same drive to Racine.

There are nice park systems and the Oak Leaf bike trail. My daughter goes to school in Oak Creek and the families are very nice. There's a YMCA in So Milw, grocery stores and Walgreens are convenient.

You can still decent sized yards in either the older or newer subdivisions.

Hope this helps. Good luck on your move!

Dea

Sounds like South Mil, Oak Creek or Franklin would be good options for you.
